I ordered this exact model about a month ago. Pretty excited to see how it sounds here since there seems to be a shortage of videos on it. I'm hoping they ship mine out on time but my hopes aren't high given the last couple of things I've purchased from them.

The new pultec that are the original reissues run about $4k ish for a mono unit/ when I bought a pair of them, the wait was about eight months……. I have bought the Stam Stereo unit that you demo’d …… am currently waiting for delivery and i expect it will be as you noted, to the quality of their other pieces!! Thanks for the review!!

The fact that they combined both of the circuitries and added a mid band makes this EQ tremendously versatile. :D

I love this eq, just enabling it adds something. Took me a little while to get the most out of it. Sounds hi fi and works on just about anything. A little goes a long way but I also found boosting the low band a lot then cutting the mid band to balance it works a little like the pultec trick. Vocals definitely, also can sound huge on kick, snare and bass.

Hey Dave, what's the name of the new company doing hand wired outboard gear that you mentioned? I tried finding them but I guess I didn't get the name correctly.

Good demo. The Xpressor also excels on bass guitar. The GRL in conjunction with the mix knob makes it easy to control exactly the part of the attack that might stick out, without smashing the rest of the note.

Hi Dave, As a hobbyist i know what it is like to consantly upgrade and add new gear or replacing gear. Recently i upgraded my big 55" and 43" screens and added a holovision 3D led fan. I also added a Roland Gaia 2 synthesizer , and a 10Gbit switch for my nas. Rewiring has become a yearly hobby at this time, lol. Best of luck and keep up the good work. Cheers from Belgium Johan.
